  2. Just ordered a Hobart 210 for 794.99. This is by far the best price I have found for this quality welder plus no taxes. I ordered it from Blain’s Tractor Supply however the sale is only good till 12/13/15. I fluctuated between the Millermatic 211 or this machine and the sale price made up my mind.

      Your price provider may not include Spool Runner 100. It has list price $325 at hobartwelder.com, and the sale price is $200 at amazon.
      If you fluctuated then I recommend Hobart 210, the difference in quality is not much while Hobart is priced very pleasant.

  3. My husband has been asking for a welder for his birthday and I am just not sure what to buy for him. You mentioned that the most lower watt machines can handle most projects around the house. I don’t think that he will be needing it for anything large, so this is probably a good choice for us.

    • Samantha, you should check what kinds of metal your husband wants to work with, that is a good way to check what kind of welder will suit him best. Materials matter! Not all welders can weld certain metals and some metals require extra tools to weld such as spool guns for Aluminum, so probably start with asking about metals first if you haven’t already.
